World-class diving, spectacular cuisine, relaxing spa treatments, and the unrivalled Fijian hospitality are yours to savor and enjoy throughout your stay.

A journey by boat across the Beqa Lagoon will transport you from life’s hustle and bustle, to the lovely, secluded Beqa Island. As you near the shoreline, the sound of Fijians singing a traditional welcome song will be the first sign you have arrived in paradise. A warm smile and a floral lei greet you when you step onto the sand of this enchanting island resort, where even the palm trees seem to sway to the music in the warm sea breeze.

A short boat ride from the resort lays a wonderland of marine life in Beqa Lagoon’s crystal clear waters. More than 100 dive sites along 190 miles of coastline provide ample opportunities to spot and photograph octopus, blue ribbon eels, orangutan crabs, rays, numerous shark and fish species, huge fans, and a rainbow kaleidoscope of colorful soft corals. There is a 24-hour currency exchange service at Nadi Airport. ATMs are located around the country and at larger resorts and hotels. Major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, shops, car rental companies, tour operators and other major outlets, but not in smaller shops and villages. Plan on using FJD in cabs and for souvenirs.

No inoculations are needed for travel to Fiji.

Hotels and resorts have a 6% Service Turnover Tax (STT) and Environment & Climate Adaptation Levy of 10% (many are included in resort price). There is a 9% Value Added Tax (VAT) on all goods and services, though the Fiji VAT refund scheme allows tourists to claim a refund (subject to certain conditions) of VAT paid on goods purchased in Fiji and taken out of Fiji via Nadi International Airport or Suva Wharf as the final port of departure to a foreign destination. To be eligible, you must satisfy all the following:

  • Spend a minimum of F$500 (VAT Inclusive) in any of the approved licensed retailer outlets during your stay in Fiji and take the goods out of Fiji within 2 months from the date of purchase.
  • Carry the goods with you as check-in baggage or hand luggage.
